As part of the technology dissemination programme, participating farmers were provided with Bio-Phos, a phosphate-solubilizing microbial bioformulation developed by ICAR-NBAIM. Scientists demonstrated its method of application and explained its role in converting insoluble phosphorus in the soil into plant-available forms, thereby enhancing phosphorus uptake, promoting plant growth, and improving crop yields.

The programme highlighted the immense potential of microbial biofertilizers as sustainable tools for improving soil health, maximizing nutrient-use efficiency, reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers, and advancing environmentally sustainable agriculture.

A total of 55 farmers, including 25 men and 30 women, participated in the programme.
