Main Areas of Work

  1. Agreements: examining proposals for MoUs and work plans, obtaining clearances, and monitoring renewal and expiry.
  2. Multilateral cooperation: supporting India's participation in BRICS, G20, BIMSTEC, ASEAN, SAARC, IBSA and the Quad on agricultural research.
  3. CGIAR partnership: coordinating agreements and joint work plans with CGIAR centres.
  4. Mobility: processing foreign deputations of ICAR scientists through the online Foreign Visit Management System (FVMS), and facilitating visits of foreign delegations.
  5. Capacity building and fellowships: international fellowships, scholarships for foreign students and training programmes for partner countries.
  6. Collaborative projects: facilitating externally funded research projects implemented by ICAR institutes.
