Netaji Subhash International Fellowship
- Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) provides Netaji Subhash International Fellowship program for for pursuing doctoral degrees in agriculture and allied sciences in the priority research areas is awarded to Indian fellows (going abroad) and Overseas candidates to pursue Ph.D. in Indian Agricultural Universities.
- Builds a pool of scientist-envoys for global cooperation.
- ICAR provides Netaji Subhash International Fellowship program for Indian fellows (going abroad) and Overseas candidates @ US $ 2,000/- and ₹40,000/- p.m., respectively along with a lumpsum preparatory & contingency amount of US $ 1,000/- and 25,000/- per annum, respectively.
- A total of 173 candidates were benefited under “Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowships in 2021-22 to 2024-25.
- A total of 11 candidates (04 Indian and 07 Foreign) were selected for the ICAR-NSIF- 2025.
ASEAN–India Fellowship
- Offers fellowships to students from ASEAN member countries for Master's degrees in agriculture and allied sciences.
- Five-year programme promoting research collaboration & cultural exchange.
- Launched on 14 August 2024 by Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
- The fellowship is provided at USD 473 per month. In addition, a travel grants of USD 1,200 (for to and fro journey), local transportation charges of USD 60 (for to and fro), USD 473 per year towards contingencies and preparatory allowances, USD 850 per year for residence/hostel accommodation, and USD 4,000 per year towards institutional fees are provided for each student.
- The funds for the ASEAN–India Fellowship are provided by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
- 6 candidates (2024–25): 04–Myanmar, 01–Indonesia, 01–Vietnam were selected for Master’s degree programme.
- 12 candidates (2025-26): Out of a total of 12 candidates (09 from Myanmar, 02 from Cambodia, and 01 from Thailand), 09 candidates (all from Myanmar) have joined in various State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) across different parts of the country for the Master’s degree programme for the academic year 2025–26.
BIMSTEC Fellowship
- An international organization involving a group of countries Involves Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Thailand.
- One Master and one Ph.D. for each BIMSTEC Member State.
- India offered a fully-funded BIMSTEC Scholarship on Agriculture – 06 slots for Masters and 06 slots for the Ph.D. programme.
- Master’s Programme: The fellowship is provided @ ₹5,45,000 per annum per slot, which includes airfare (₹40,000), a monthly fellowship @₹18,000, medical insurance, institute fees, book allowance, and annual contingencies for pursuing Master’s programmes.
- Ph.D. Programme: The fellowship is provided at ₹5,97,000 per annum per slot, which includes airfare (₹40,000), a monthly fellowship of ₹22,000, and contingencies, among other expenses.
- 2 students (Myanmar) selected for Master’s programme.
Nepal Aid -Fund Scholarship Scheme
- Every year, students from Nepal are facilitated for admission in various Agricultural Universities across the country.
- They are enrolled in Master’s degree programmes in different disciplines of Agriculture and Allied Sciences.
- The funds for scholarship are provided by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
