The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Babhleshwar, Maharashtra jointly organized a Virtual Training Programme on “Training, Pruning and Mrig Bahar Management in Guava” today.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Sambhaji Nalkar, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, Babhleshwar highlighted the importance of pruning technology, soil testing and INM for better yield.
Shri Sadashiv Roham, Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Peru Utpadak Sangh encouraged the farmers for selecting the proper variety based on the market demand.
In his address, Dr. R.L. Kale, Head and Senior Scientist, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim urged the farmers for diversifying the cropping pattern by adopting the fruit crop plantation. He also adviced them to take care of the soil health by using organic manures and minimizing the application of chemical fertilizers.
The training programme was aimed at apprising the farmers of Maharashtra about the training and pruning technology along with scientific Bahar treatments for Guava cultivation.
