Skill Development Training on “Floriculturist - Protected Cultivation” concludes

The “Skill Development Programme on “Floriculturist - Protected Cultivation” organized by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ri-Bhoi concluded today.

The programme was The Prime Minister of India flagship programme under the Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) was started on 29th January - 2019. The final assessment of the programme was done by the independent assessment agency - MSAG today.

The Skill Development Programme succeeded in training 20 youths and farmers from the Ri-Bhoi District of Meghalaya on skill development qualification pack “Floriculturist - Protected Cultivation”.

The theoretical and practical sessions, the detailed techniques of site selection, methods of construction of polyhouse, land preparation, planting, soil health management and SHG mobilization, etc., were thoroughly discussed.

The programme also held practical demonstrations and exposure visits for the participants.

The trainees of the programme will be awarded the certificates in due course of time by the ASCI.
