Shri Jual Oram, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs, Govt of India visited KVK Sundargarh-I, Kirei under Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar today to review the ongoing activities and scope for further strengthening of KVKs. The Minister visited all the demonstration units, crop cafeteria and appreciated the efforts of KVK in maintaining the units. Shri Oram visited the KVK adopted tribal village Birjaberna under Sundargarh block and interacted with farmers and farmwomen. He distributed vegetable seed mini kit and papaya seedlings under the nutritional garden demonstration programme under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) to the tribal farmers and farmwomen. He expressed his satisfaction with the activities undertaken by KVK Sundargarh-I in the TSP adopted villages for the improvement of tribal people.
Prof. P. K. Roul, Dean, Extension Education, OUAT, district heads of State Government line departments, progressive farmers and farm women from the operational villages of KVK were present on the occasion.
