Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying visits ICAR-NIANP, BengaluruShri Atul Chaturvedi, I.A.S., Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India visited the ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru today.

Shri Chaturvedi applauded the Institute’s contribution in terms of the farmer-friendly technology developed and commercialization of technologies. He accentuated on the pivotal role played by the feeding of livestock out of four approaches that help in doubling the farmers’ income, viz., disease control, breed improvement, feeding, and processing, value addition & marketing. The Secretary stressed on the need for research to reduce the cost of poultry feed.

Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, Director, ICAR-NIANP briefed about the Institute’s activities and its achievements, on-going projects, patents granted and technologies commercialized.
