KVK, Palghar celebrates Agricultural Technology Mahotsav

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palghar, Maharashtra celebrated the Agricultural Technology Mahotsav on the Theme “Floriculture Production Technology” from 12th to 14th October, 2021.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Lakhan Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Pune urged the farmers to focus on floriculture, crop diversification, processing & value-addition, organizing farmers themselves, tapping farmers’ wisdom, using biofertilizers, bio-pesticides and linking with the markets to attain higher profits. Dr. Lakhan emphasized on the promotion of the Poshan Vatika / Nutrition Gardens to have nutritional security at the village level.
Dr. Sanjay Bhave, Director (Extension Education), Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Maharashtra applauded the KVK activities including beekeeping, value-addition, Self-Help Groups, etc.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr. Vilas Jadhav, Head, KVK, Palghar underlined the innovative ways of technology dissemination including mobile based Agro-Advisory.
A total of 116 farmers are participating in the programme.
