The five-day Krishi Kala Utsav organized at the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad concluded today. The event was organized from 4th to 8th November, 2019.
The Chief Guest of the Valedictory Function, Dr. Trilochan Mahapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) interacted with the various artists about their innovative presentations on various important aspects of agriculture and farmers’ welfare. Dr. Mohapatra applauded the ICAR-NAARM’s initiative.
Earlier, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM inaugurated the event on 4th November, 2019. Dr. Rao underlined the potential of communicating the agricultural science and technology to the students, youth and seniors who regularly visit the academy and becomes a part of science communication strategy through paintings.
Dr. A.K. Pal, Joint Director (Retired), ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai was also present during the occasion.
The event was organized in association with the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences-Hyderabad Chapter.
A total of 24 students of Sir J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai were invited to create paintings and works of art on agriculture and allied sector. Around 48 paintings including a stone craft mural work were completed during the event.
