ICAR-NAARM organizes MOOC on Psychology of Learning for Stay-home Learning

 The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad has organized a new “Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Psychology of Learning” from 1st to 15th May, 2020.

 In his address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM highlighted the importance of the course for teachers, faculties, trainers and other staff members. He stated that the programme has been quickly conceptualized, synthesized and launched keeping in view the present scenario that demands the utilization of time while staying at home. Dr. Rao outlined that the programme designed to meet the capacity building needs of NARES aims to equip the teaching fraternity with understanding the psychological aspects of learning from student’s perspectives.

 The learning resources have been developed using the Academy’s the state-of-the-art facility known as Technology Enhanced Learning Lab (TELL) which was established with the support of ICAR Education Division under the Niche Area of Excellence. Besides the learning resources, the course facilitates the learner activities and participation in online discussion forums followed by final online evaluation. The entire programme is offered in online mode along with providing the final certification online.

The programme registered a record number of 1,658 registrations representing the entire country and covering wide range of subject domains, thereby, benefiting the larger audience and aiding in the effective time utilization while staying at home.
