The ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad organized the “Virtual 13th High Level Monitoring Committee (HLMC) Meeting of National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) Project” today.
In his address, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR) appreciated the progress and the recognition for the NICRA Project at both the national and global levels. The need for documentation of state-specific climate resilient technologies for their inclusion in NMSA and State Action Plans was stressed by the Director General. Dr. Mohapatra also emphasized on the assessment of Technology Demonstration Components’ impact on socio-economic status of the farmers in the adopted villages.
Shri Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR) stressed on expanding the CRV Models to the other parts of the country in convergence with the relevant schemes, organizations and departments at both the Centre and State levels.
Shri Sanjiv Kumar, Financial Advisor (DARE / ICAR) accentuated that the Climate Resilient Village (CRV) Models have paved the way for formulating and implementing the similar projects in the different states.
Dr. S. Bhaskar, ADG (AAF & CC), ICAR presented the ATR on the previous HLMC.
Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad underlined about the NICRA Project.
The Deputy Directors General of ICAR and Officials from the various Ministries and Departments of Government of India provided the key inputs for the further strengthening of NICRA Project.
