DDG (Education) visits ICAR-CIWA, Bhubaneswar

Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Education), Division of Agricultural Education, ICAR, New Delhi visited the ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture, Bhubaneswar today.

The Deputy Director General administered the Pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to all the participants on the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for fostering and reinforcing the dedication to preserve and strengthen the unity, integrity and security of the nation.

Dr. Agrawal also reviewed the Institute’s ongoing research activities. He urged the Institute for taking-up the network projects with the National Perspective. He also opined the scientists for focusing on the research priorities keeping the welfare of farm women in mind.

Dr. P.S. Pandey, ADG (EP& HS) suggested for increasing the Institute’s visibility at the global level. Dr. Pandey also stressed upon the scientists’ responsibility and accountability to solve the problems being faced by the farm women during the research programme.

Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Director, ICAR-CIWA briefed about the Institute’s achievements.

A total of 4 Technical Bulletins published by the Institute’s scientists were also released by the dignitaries on the occasion.
