The ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur, Maharashtra and Society for Advancement of Research on Pomegranate jointly organized the Brainstorming Session on “Roadmap for Shot Hole Borer Management in Pomegranate” here today.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Anand Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Horticultural Science), ICAR delivered the inaugural address.

Earlier, Dr. R.A. Marathe, Director, ICAR-NRC on Pomegranate, delivered the welcome address.

Dr. D.P. Waskar, Director of Research, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, Maharashtra; Shri Prabhakar Chandane, President, All India Pomegranate Growers Association; Dr. K.B. Patil, Vice-President, Jain Irrigation Pvt. Ltd. along with the Subject Matter Experts, Progressive Growers, Industry Representatives, Students and other Stakeholders of Pomegranate Industry deliberated during the occasion.

Four International Delegates - Dr. Beatriz Nobua, Behrmann & Dr. Shannon Lynch, University of California Cooperative Extension, California, U.S.A.; Dr. Kobus Bothma, Crop Nutrient Specialist, South Africa and Dr. Mazahar Yousefi, Pomegranate Scientist, Iran along with more than 90 Indian Delegates from the various parts of the country participated in the scientific deliberation.
