The ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai organized a five-day training programme on “Biofloc-based Nursery and Grow-Out Culture Technology and its Application in Aquaculture” from 24th to 28th September, 2019.
While inaugurating the programme, Dr. K.K. Vijayan, Director briefed about the need to propagate the Eco-based culture technologies. He emphasized on popularizing the science of biofloc technology.
Dr. K.P. Jithendran, Director Incharge, ICAR-CIBA also marked his presence during the Valedictory function.
During the training, the participants were exposed to the field visit to a shrimp Penaeus vannamei and GIFT Tilapia Fish Biofloc Nurseries and grow-out rearing facility at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu Fisheries University (TNJFU) facilities, Madhavaram, Chennai.
A total of 22 trainees from 10 states of the country attended the programme.
