“Agriculture Exhibition on Indigenous Cow” organized

Shri Siddhagiri Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kolhapur, Maharashtra organized an “Agriculture Exhibition on Indigenous Cow” today.
P.P. Adrushya Kadsiddheshwar Swami Ji, Chairman, Shri Siddhagiri Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kolhapur, Maharashtra urged the farmers for raring and conserving the Indian breeds of Cow. He also stressed on developing Entrepreneurs based on Indigenous Cow to develop themselves as business icons rather than just farmers. He emphasized on forming the Farmers’ Producers’ Organizations for better linking to the markets.
Dr. Ravindra Singh, Head, Shri Siddhagiri Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kolhapur, Maharashtra opined the farmers for establishing the Indigenous Cow based Goshalas and Dairy Units with the technical help of KVK.
About 22 Indigenous Breeds namely - Gir, Sahiwal, Lal Kandhari, Kankarej, Khillar, Deoni, Dangi, Ongole and other breeds were exhibited during the exhibition.
Around 530 participants participated in the exhibition.
